Today I bring you a little cutie with beautiful brown eyes and a missing tooth...this is Kali. She is the daughter of my very good friends, Kim and Ben. Kali was actually one of my very first portrait subjects (aka guinea pig) when I was just starting out with photography, about 3 years ago. As I was putting this blog post together, I thought it would be fun to go back and take a peek at those images, which I thought were awesome at the time. Wow...it was a nice reminder of how much I have grown as a photographer in just 3 years. There is something to be said for lots, and lots, and lots of practice. And there's also something to be said for supportive friends who let you use their kids as photography guinea pigs. :)
Fast forward 3 years, and here we are at the Paint Creek Cider Mill, with a spunky little Kali, wearing her sassy boots and being the best little model ever. Seriously...you would not know we were freezing our buns off here. Kali was such a trooper as she gave me endless smiles, and she really rocked the poses. The best part about shooting at this location was warm cider and donuts afterward. Yum!
Kali, Kim & Ben...thanks for braving the cold and spending some time in front of my camera. Enjoy your sneak peek!
Thanks again Kali, Kim & Ben. Hope you love your pictures!! xo ~ denise
