I cannot even believe it's time for the sixth installment of Life Love Lens. Wow, time sure does fly when you’re having fun! High-five to all my blog circle sisters for sticking with this for 6 months and for sharing your work and your stories. I have really enjoyed getting to know all of you through this project!!
Now that it’s September and summer is winding down, I thought I would do a “summer wrap up” for blog circle. Some of these pictures are somewhat recent. There are a few from Labor Day weekend as well as a recent putt-putt golf adventure. Others were taken in the early days of summer. Those poor images have been confined to my hard drive, never seeing the light of day...until now, that is! That's why I love blog circle. It gives me an excuse to look back through those forgotten images and enjoy them all over again.
When you are done checking out my photos, please be sure to visit Emily Hutson over at her blog (link is at the end of this post). She is a wonderful photographer, who also happens to be one of my good friends.
Onto the pictures! I love this first one of a lazy summer morning...
The image below is representative of about 95% of the pictures I capture of this kid. Goofy.
We made it out to Lake St. Clair one day. I'm not used to so much blue in my photos...or the direct sunlight. I love these shots though! It was a good change of pace for me and definitely gave me the bug for more beach photography!
On the go, Labor Day weekend...
Dipping toes in Lake Charlevoix. The messy bun has become her signature hairstyle.
One should wear flowers in their hair whenever possible.
Apparently, I'm very funny.
Mama: "Violet, look at that cool wall! Can I take your picture in front of it?" --- Violet: "Sure AHHHHGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
Putt-putt time. I've driven by this place a million times. So glad we finally decided to visit.
Again....I'm really funny. Apparently.
Oh, and all of a sudden pink and purple are no longer her favorite colors. She's moved onto blue. Specifically light blue, hence her choice of golf ball. I tried explaining that a brighter color would really photograph better, but she didn't seem to care about my opinion.
Who needs golf when there's an entire parking lot full of dirt and rocks?? :)
And like that, summer was over. It was a great one though... filled with family, friends, travel and of course, lots of opportunities to take pictures. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog to take a look! Next, please check out Emily Hutson Photography to see what she is sharing this month, and be sure to click through to all the photographers in our circle and leave them some love! Until next time. xo~denise
