“Write it. Shoot it. Publish it. Crochet it, sauté it, whatever. MAKE.”  - Joss Whedon

You may have noticed I haven’t posted anything here in over a year.  I have numerous (and lengthy) drafts of this post attempting to explain why.  But ain’t nobody got time for that, and it’s probably not all that interesting (unless you’re me…haha), so here’s the abridged version …

  • I had lots of photo sessions! Yeay!
  • I burned out...Booo! (if you feel so inclined, Google “photography burn out”….it’s a thing)
  • I took a long break
  • I missed photography
  • I missed it a lot
  • And now I’m back

As much as I enjoyed taking a nice, extended break, I missed photography.  To anyone else, it might look like a family portrait or a cute picture of a kiddo.  But to me, it is something I created and put it out there for the world to see (or at least, the handful of people who look at my website).  Besides love and parenthood, it is the most rewarding thing I’ve done.

So, I’m ready to start creating again, and you should drop me a note if you are interested in a session.

In the meantime, I plan to share some images I took last year (before I went into hibernation), but never shared, because obviously I was a total slacker in the blogging department.

First up…here is a family I photographed last summer.  Mom, Lisa, is a photographer herself (and a super talented one).  I can't even tell you what a huge complement it is, when another photographer picks YOU to document her family.  And with three little boys age 6 and under, I'm pretty sure I broke a sweat at this session, but I'm really, really happy with what I captured.  Enjoy.
